An evening of May Festival premieres celebrates the musical charms of Tchaikovsky!

Known for his ability to write beautiful, lush melodies, Tchaikovsky wrote some of the most popular concert and theatrical music in the classical repertoire. From the pomp and circumstance of a Tsar’s coronation to the high drama of opera to the contemplative nature of church liturgy, his rich harmonies have charmed listeners for more than a century.

His famous love theme from Romeo and Juliet is so iconic that it has been used in many popular tv shows—from Sesame Street to Scrubs.

Granny’s Garden School is a non-profit educational organization based in Loveland, Ohio that uses school grounds to help students discover the beauty and importance of nature, to experience the satisfaction of growing their own food, and to appreciate the simple pleasure of picking a flower.

Our matches have been invited to come anytime, except during school hours,  from April until frost (usually late October) to pick a bouquet of up to 24 stems of any flower in the gardens, except for sunflowers, at Granny’s Gardens in Loveland, Ohio.  Interested matches should email Roberta Paolo at roberta@grannysgardenschool.org before coming for the first time.  Directions and a membership card will be sent.  We are being given this opportunity free of charge.  Be sure to thank Granny and let us know if you take advantage of this opportunity!

There are also many times throughout the year when the general community is invited to come in to plant, harvest and for other special activities that are free.  There is no regular schedule for these opportunities and they almost always happen on the weekends.  Register on the website: www.GrannysGardenSchool.org for these “Grannygrams”.
