For over a century, Big Brothers Big Sisters has provided one-to-one mentoring relationships for young people – especially those facing the most challenges – empowering them to a bright future with a mentor whose impact can last a lifetime. Throughout our history, we have remained committed to seeing children as whole people, no matter who they are or what they have been through.
We believe every young person deserves to be known, valued, and respected. Big Brothers Big Sisters strives to create an environment where young people feel they belong and celebrates all the intersections of a person that makes them unique. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati and the BBBS Network welcomes and serves ALL youth, families, staff, and board members. |

In 2019, the National Football League Foundation selected Big Brothers Big Sisters as a recipient of their Social Justice Grant to grow programs that involved police officers as Bigs, could attract more male volunteers , or would help youth impacted by familial incarceration (Children with an Incarcerated Family Member). Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati is proud to be part of the NFL's Inspire Change campaign.

In 2016, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) launched our LGBTQ Youth Mentoring Enhancement Initiative, funded by the Altria Group. This initiative was research-based, thoughtful, and deliberate. It ensures not just that LGBTQ youth and mentors would be accepted or tolerated within Big Brothers Big Sisters, but that they are affirmed, understood, and celebrated.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is dedicated to serving all youth who need mentors, especially those who need us most. We know that LGBTQ+ youth face extremely high risks of bullying, depression, homelessness, and often lack a support system. All young people – regardless of sexual orientation or gender identification – require and deserve safe and affirming environments and relationships to flourish. Our passionate professionals and volunteers stand united in serving all children.
We are grateful to the Altria Group, NFL "Inspire Change" Foundation, Macy's and United Way for their grants of support for our work.
