Bigs and Littles connect during the school lunch period. Shared meals, games and conversations build relationships that inspire curiosity and confidence.
Matches meet at various sites after school to participate in activities and workshops. This fosters creativity and allows mentors to offer support and guidance.
High school students are paired with elementary school youth. The matches take part in activities that promote academic achievement and social skills.
Littles are paired with professionals from local companies, providing monthly visits to the business to explore careers, build skills and gain real-world experience.
BBBS staff member is on site in schools and after-school clubs
to mentor youth, build skills, and support year-round academic engagement.

Little Brother Korbin meets with his Big Brother Ryan Tomlinson in one of our Northern Kentucky Site-Based mentoring programs.  Matched for 3 ½ years, they
see each other once a week during the school year, during Korbin’s lunchtime.
They spend time playing games and talking about what’s going on in school and in their lives.

It’s about helping Korbin feel valued and supported. Ryan says he appreciates the chance to listen to Korbin, encouraging him during both the positive conversations and ones where his Little Brother is going through difficult times.  Being a consistent present in Korbin’s life has proven invaluable to developing their friendship.  Korbin has said that having Ryan to talk with has helped him navigate some challenges, and also says more kids should have a Big Brother or Big Sister.
